/Series Summary
The Book of Ezra is part one of a two-volume set, Ezra-Nehemiah, covering the return of God’s
people from the Babylonian exile to the land they’d been taken from when they went into captivity.
There are three major movements: first, Zerubbabel leads the rebuilding of the Temple, then Ezra leads the rebuilding of the community, and finally Nehemiah leads the rebuilding of the city of Jerusalem. We’re going to be looking at the first two of those movements as we go through the Book of Ezra between now and the start of Advent. We’re calling the series, “Building a Community of Faith.” We’ll see God at work in some amazing ways, and realize that He’s still at work today!
