In addition to the ongoing work of managing the current small group structure, keeping the website updated, library functioning, Foundations in the Faith progressing, hosting a half dozen “Pizza with the Pastor” meetings and promoting personal discipleship we also continued to develop the process for identifying, equipping and supporting a growing number of growing spiritual leaders. We currently have had 38 people go through the first Intentional Spiritual Leader seminar and 17 of those have completed the second seminar. We will be hosting the second seminar on Feb 14 and March 14 of this year. Currently about 60% of those who regularly attend RHCC are involved in one of our small groups. We’ve finished our first two-year cycle of the Foundations in the Faith curriculum with over 50 people attending at least one of the units of study over the course of those two years. Congratulations to Jo Yungerman who has attended all 60 of the sessions and therefore is our first Foundations in the Faith graduate!

DISCIPLE FORMATION GOALS

• 34 individuals will have completed the two ISL seminars

• Complete small group leader self study guide using Mathias Media Growth Group Leader material.

• All current small group leaders in the process of completing the self study guide

• Train 6 new small group leaders

• 80% of regular attendees 13 and over in a small group by January 1, 2010

• Work with Associate Pastor and Elder Board and current ISL’s to establish the entire ISL training process and small group/personal discipleship management and be ready for full implementation by January 1, 2010

• Update website with member only section, increase usability and accessibility of information, improve communication of ministry team vision, mission, values and goals.

• Conduct the first four units of Foundation in the Faith. Increase visibility and attendance.

• Evaluate process of assimilation and make any necessary adjustments (Sunday morning, Newcomer Group, Discovering Membership, personal visitation, etc.). Establish permanent childcare plan for Newcomer and Membership.
